Joe & Kirsten’s New Zealand StoryJoe and Kirsten married in 1984, while Joe served as the College & Career/Singles Pastor at Honolulu First Assembly of God. After Joe resigned from his position, they took a leap of faith and left for New Zealand with only a two-month visa, $2,000, and without knowing a single person there. On their very first day in Auckland, God arranged a divine appointment that provided them with a beachfront home, where they were invited to live rent-free until they could make other arrangements. They eventually rented their own apartment, but that remarkable provision was the first of many ways they would see the hand of God during their two years in New Zealand. Joe was also given a place to preach the very next Sunday, and together they saw souls saved across both the North and South Islands.
About Joe Robinson
Why Follow the Crowd? Why Be Ordinary When You Can Be Extraordinary?
Joe Robinson is a Christian author, coach, speaker, broadcaster, and longtime minister who has spent more than five decades helping people through ministry, business, writing, leadership, and life.
Saved on Kauai at 22 as a long-haired surfing hippie, Joe went on to serve in ministry in Hawaii, New Zealand, and across the United States. He and Kirsten have built a life around faith, family, people, and purpose.
His story includes 10 years of radio and 10 years of television in Hawaii, as part of a total of 15 years preaching, pastoring, and teaching in Hawaii. His ministry has also included preaching and teaching in 45 locations across New Zealand, serving and planting churches, and working in the marketplace.
Joe and Kirsten presently serve on the pastoral staff of Church of the Harvest in Cleveland, Tennessee. Today, Joe is focused on books, coaching people in the marketplace, and encouraging others to keep growing—at every age and in every season.
Through his coaching, Joe helps you find balance, harmony, and strength in four essential areas of life: spiritual life, relationships, work and income, and good health.
